Dispatches from Home – The Demon of Creativity!

Why are some of the most gifted, talented artists, writers, actors, and musicians – like Van Gogh, Hemingway, Robin Williams, and Mozart – seemingly possessed by “demons”?

Could the demons in their minds be the very essence of their creativity, the driving force behind the beauty in their works of art, the power in their words, and the creative juice of their performances and music? Or are these demons the gritty grit in the labyrinth of their brains, which leads them to think thoughts they have never considered before?

These demons wage a relentless battle within creative people, forcing them to transform themselves, like the mythical Phoenix, emerging anew from the ashes of their former selves.

But one day, those creative individuals realize they can rise no more, and the demons take them. And they are gone, leaving only the beauty, the words, the performances, and the music they so desperately attempted to create.

Kind regards, Anthony
