This and That – Hurricane Ida, Louie, and Me!

Greetings! I’m happy to report that Louie and I passed a good night. He fluttered around all night, worried about which velvet knee-britches, silk hair bows and lace cravats to pack in case we had to head north. He’s such a wuss.

As of 9:23 a.m. the winds have died down, even the rain has stopped for now. My rain gauge overflowed at nine inches. Yikes! No damage to report. We only lost power for a few minutes. I thank the Good Master for watching over us in the night.

How are all my friends doing? Thank you for your FB messages and phone calls asking how we are. We need to pray for those reeling from the devastation created by Hurricane Ida. How well we know their pain and loss. Big hug!
