This and That – Hurricane Dorian 2019.
As dawn broke across the dark, icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the Titanic’s lucky survivors breathed a sigh of relief–the S.S. Carpathia was steaming toward them. Cheers filled the air, tears streamed down faces.
I can’t help but believe that the victims of Hurricane Dorian would do the same if they saw a fleet of Carnival liners approaching the Bahamas. Those massive liners, which bring tons of tourists to the country, not to mention tons of money to the company as well, could become more than just floating palaces of fun and frivolity.
They could provide food, shelter, and comfort to a hurting, grieving populace. Time will tell if corporate creed or hurting human beings win out.
