This and That – Good morning from York.

We’re watching the Queen’s funeral on the telly from our hotel room in York’s Park Inn by Radisson. It’s somewhat surreal watching it all.

Two weeks ago we were simply tourists taking in Westminster Abbey’s ancient grandeur.

Today from the Abbey, we watch as mourners, as does much of the world. Sam and I are witnesses not only to the passing of the Crown from Queen to King but the end of an era.

May God rest your soul, dear lady! After one of the longest reigns in history, during which you always did your duty, you’re finally Home!

Kind regards, Anthony
