This and That – The New Orleans Saenger Theater Restoration.

The New Orleans Saenger Theater – one of the South’s most beautiful movie palaces. I’m so glad to see it’s on the mend after the great storm of ’05 flooded it, causing massive damage!

Can’t wait to see the completed restoration. First saw the Saenger in 1965 where I enjoyed seeing “The Sound of Music.” Also saw Elizabeth Taylor in “The Little Foxes, “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Grand Hotel.” Kinard Fite treated me to that wonderful show!

Does anyone else have fond memories of the New Orleans Saenger?
