This and That – Sidney Bechet and Good Food!
Greetings! One of my favorite delights is having a meal with a dear friend, regardless of the time of day. Rhonda and I had lunch today at Gulfport’s Chimneys Restaurant.
Two and half hours drifted by, overflowing with delightful conversation. The air was filled with the laughter of those around us and the savory smells of delicious food wafting from the kitchen.
Overhead, the deep, rich, melancholic, warm music of Sidney Bechet’s clarinet lent an air of refinement to it all. Colton, my favorite waiter, tempted us with stuffed flounder and sautéed shrimp, not to mention a Bloody Mary and a Lemon Drop martini or two.
A good time was had by all.!
Big hug.
