Dispatches from Home – Dillon Roof and King Noble.

I have never understood why people hate!

I’ve just heard on the evening news that Dillon Roof has been sentenced to death for his horrendous murders of nine innocent people just because they were a different color than he was.

When I saw that one of the victims was 87, I could not help but think: How sad! That dear woman, Susie Jackson, had lived through the horrors of Jim Crow’s reign and was now sure that she had survived to tell the tale. Alas, she had not!

But racism apparently knows no color. King Noble, a black supremacist, was quoted as saying: “It’s open season on killing white people and crackers.” He also included policemen in his rant.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have many problems in this, our dear country. One of them is racism. For me and my house, though, we will do our part to show love and respect for all races.

May God have mercy on those who would do all within their power to stoke the fires of racism.
