The Friday Funnies – A Bowl Haircut and Old Man Depression.

Being a Baby Boomer (and thankful that I am!) I was reared by parents who grew up in hard times. Old Man Depression taught them to waste not, want not. Hence, today’s snap is for your perusal.

It’s 1974, and I’m off to my Senior Year at dear ol’ William Carey College, aka Jesus Tech (No offense Father 🙃) I’m sporting a voguish checkered shirt, which in hindsight, looks like Mom may have had some leftover kitchen curtain material. And a stylish haircut that looks like it was made possible via Mom’s 1951 aluminum cookware, which I still have.

Notice the dent? The result of a fit of rage when, due to my thinning pate, I could no longer use the bowl to cut my hair. However, I don’t need a stylist. My pillow gives me a new hairstyle every morning! 😂

Smile! You’re on Andy’s Camera.

Later Smiling Gaters!

(P.S. I think the thick Granny glasses add a bit of panache to my ensemble. 🤓)
