Dispatches from Home – Thank You for Attending.

Good evening. I want to thank everyone who attended Mom’s funeral! I know she would have been humbled by the outpouring of your love and words of encouragement, as was I.
A special word of thanks goes out to my dear friend, Janie Still Walters, for the humor and joy she brought to a bittersweet occasion and her lovely rendition of Mom and Dad’s favorite love song, “Harbor Lights.” The older I get, the more I value my sense of humor! It helps me get through the day. If you don’t have one, may I suggest you rush out to your local Woolworths and buy one?
A big word of thanks to Jimmy Stewart, who so elegantly blessed us all with his words from the Bible concerning Heaven and the joys therein. Thank you to Tommy Keown for his piano expertise…even if he didn’t know “Melancholy Baby.”
And what can I say about Zeno Randall Wells’s touching solo, “Beaula Land”? I sang every word with you, my dear friend! My tears that flowed were tears of joy, not sadness! Mom’s Home! No more tears. No more pain. No more fears. Home!
But back here on earth, finding my new “normal” will be a major adjustment. Thankfully, I have many of you to use as role models. I’ve watched you endure the loss of a loved one and come out on the other side of your grief better than before, stronger than before, and more in tune with the Good Master. I intend to do the same! A
Again, thank you! Kind regards, Andy
