The Friday Funnies – A Good Laugh is Good to Repeat!

I originally posted this little funny six years ago. It appeared on my Facebook Memories. I re-read it and, once again, laughed out loud. Enjoy!

“For those of you who know my dear mother’s situation, you know that I’m never sure what she does or doesn’t understand. The conversation between us is limited to repeatedly answering the same question, which usually involves the weather. “Did it rain last night?” “Yes, Mama.” Pause. “Did it rain last night?” “Yes, Mama.” Pause. Repeat. Get the picture?

But last night, the conversation went like this: “Mama, this is a new kind of soup you’re eating.” “Oh, really. What kind is it?” “It’s Campbell’s Beer-n-Cheese soup.” There was a dramatic pause as the little wheels slowly turned in her mind. Then she asked, “Beer-n-Cheese…will it make me drunk?” After muffling my laughter, I answered, “No, Mama, it won’t.” And then, without hesitation, she said, “Good! Because I like it…just don’t tell the preacher.”

And that, folks, is the evening chuckle from the Kalberg Estate.”
