The Friday Funnies! Applause! Applause! Applause!

For your consideration today, I present Duane, in all his flaming glory, seen here in Gulfport Little Theater’s 1980 summer musical, “Applause!” The musical is based on the 1950 film “All About Eve.”

Duane is dancing atop a wooden spool while being wheeled around the stage, belting out a song. Channeling both Nijinsky and Baryshnikov (or so he thought), night after night, he lept flat-footed from the stage floor three feet into the air, landing atop the wooden spool.

The young man’s expression says it all: “Wowee! Duane did it again…and didn’t fall flat on his face.!” 😂

Today, even if YOU fall flat on your face, smile. It will make you feel better.
