Dispatches from Home – Family Reunion.
Greetings! What a fun three days it’s been! I’ve not seen Cousin Alex Baridon in over 40 years. What a grand reunion it was!
To add icing to the cake and some sweet sugar, too, were my other cousins: Peggy Gunter Stone, Billy Thornton, and his beautiful wife, Sylvia. We’re incredibly proud of Billy, and because of him, we can say we’re related to royalty. He is King D’Iberville the 117th. I’ll end with a bit of my weak poetry:
As echoed laughter drifted down memory lane,
We cousins reconnected, feeling young once again.
As old stories were retold and foolishness replayed,
They brought back the joy of our youth,
May it never fade.
