Meanwhile, in other news, this just in from the D’Lo Athletic Supporters’ Gazette:

“Found today in our archives is this snap of a vintage piece of football history. Our records indicate that the first testicular guard, ‘The Cup,’ was inaugurated in 1874. However, the first football helmet was not used until 1974. This means that it took a mere 100 years for men to realize that their brain was also of great importance!”
