Dispatches from Home – Late Summery Afternoon Shadows.

Greetings! For those who’ve recently lost a loved one, a friend, or a special someone, I’ve written this little poem just for you. Big hug. ![]()
Late summery afternoon shadows,
On an antique chair of blue.
Conjure memories of days gone by,
That remind me of you.
Peaceful walks along the beach,
The sandy grit between our toes.
Helped mend the weary day,
With all its fearful woes.
Laughter and tears we shared together,
No mountain too tall or valley too deep.
Knowing that which we sow,
Would be that which we reap.
And now in the twilight of life,
As my remaining years flash by.
I’ll remember those lost, sweet days,
And whisper a fond goodbye.
