Dispatches from Home – Mom’s Update.

Evening update on Mom. She’s out of ICU and in her own room.
The brain scans indicated the hemorrhage has dissipated, which is a good thing. She was very agitated and babbled a lot, which she does when she has a spell, as I call it. They gave her a dose of Ativan, and she’s out like a light.
Every hour, though, they have to wake her to check her neurological signs. I’ll spend the night at hospital and hopefully she’ll get to come home tomorrow.
She looks, with her right eye swollen almost shut, an inch-long gash on the cheekbone where she hit whatever she hit, and is black and blue.
She can see in her good eye, which is the one that’s swollen shut.
Once again, let me thank each of you for your kind thoughts, words of encouragement, and prayers.
Please know this: We’ve felt them! Well, let me dash.
Take care and thank you again! Andy
