This and That – Louie, Me, and Hurricane Ida.

Good morning! I’m happy to report that Louie and I passed a good night. He fluttered around all night, worried about which velvet knee-britches, silk hair bows, and lace cravats to pack in case we had to head north. He’s such a wuss.

As of 9:23 a.m., the winds have died down, and even the rain has stopped for now. My rain gauge overflowed at nine inches. Yikes! No damage to report. We only lost power for a few minutes. I thank the Good Master that He watched over us in the night.

How are all my friends doing? Thank you for your Facebook messages and phone calls asking how we are. We need to pray for those reeling from the devastation created by Hurricane Ida. How well we know their pain and loss.
