This and That – A Sabbath Day in London.

Good morning from London.

The sun’s come out on this Sabbath day. Sam went to divine services this morning at St. Paul’s Cathedral. I decided to attend church in another “cathedral.”

I’ve been sitting on a bench in the park across from the Tavistock Hotel, where we are staying, watching the dappled sunlight drifting through the trees. The early morning breeze was like a whisper from Father God saying, “Good Morning!”

Smiling at a laughing baby in a stroller, I thought of God. Observing people in the park, some with concerned faces, some with longing in their eyes, I thought of God. Thinking about 911 – lest we forget – and the horrific destruction and loss of precious souls, I thought of God. Strolling back into the lobby, I watched a bit of the national news coverage of the Queen’s passing and thought of God.

Dear friends, with all my heart, I believe there is a loving God who longs for us to worship Him and find peace therein. There is a Savior, Jesus Christ, who died in agony for our sins and those of the world, so that those who believe in Him will live forever in glorious Heaven..

In a world gone mad, let us never forget they are sitting on the eternal throne of Heaven. And because they are, in the passing seconds allotted to us in the hourglass of time, let us rejoice and be glad therein.

Until we meet again, all my love, Andy
