This and That – 42nd Street and Tapping Feet.

Greetings!
I cut my Broadway teeth on this fabulous show, way back in 1984. The massive crystal chandeliers in the wonderful old St. James Theater dimmed, and suddenly the theater was filled with what sounded like thunder.
Then, very slowly, the curtain started to rise, and lo and behold, the stage was alive with a mass of dancers, all in lock-step, tapping their hearts out to the delight of the audience.
Halfway through the opening number, the audience jumped to its feet, clapping and yelling their amazed approval.
It was a magical night that I’ll never forget.
