Dispatches from Home – Thanks for the Memories.

Good evening. One of my most enjoyable pleasures is dining with friends. Thank you, Ned, for the conversation, most of which should follow us to the grave. Mum’s the word. (LOL!)

I include Colton in the mums department as well. He was most intrigued with our remembrances of times past and Coastal luminaries who are long gone, like Gus Stevens, Jane Mansfield, Elvis, and the Dixie Mafia. He’s the best waiter at The Chimneys and makes a mean Bloody Mary.

To quote Blanche Dubose from A Streetcar Named Desire — “Two’s my limit…today I had three.” (Oh! Dear Gussie! When my Sunday School Class reads this, they’ll be signin’ me up for AA. (LOL!)

As I told Ned as she was leaving for Texas, “None of us is getting any younger. Enjoy the days we have allotted. If you love ’em, don’t miss an opportunity to tell ’em and see ’em.”

Big hug, y’all.
