The Sunday Sermonette – Are You a Lighthouse?

In the early days of sea travel, lighthouses guided ships to a safe harbor. Without them, those ships would have crashed onto the rocky shore.

Have you ever thought of yourself as being a lighthouse? The painful events of your life, which you endured and that educated you, could serve as a lighthouse for your family and friends. The wisdom gleaned from your pain might keep them from crashing onto the same rocks you did, rocks that so viciously scarred you.

On life’s tempestuous seas, there’s no fog so dense, no night so dark, no gale so strong that a lighthouse’s piercing beacon cannot guide a ship home to safety. Please continue to be that piercing light to your friends and family as you help them navigate the seas of life.
