Is Forever Goodbye Truly Forever?

Is Forever Goodbye truly forever?                               

     Can tragic love bloom again, becoming its own successor?

And even though anguished memories seem never to fade,

     My heart still recalls moments we cherished and made.

Time sails onward, turning lost days into night,

     Yet hope lingers, drifting lovingly out of sight.

So maybe goodbye is a pause and not the end,

     Our paths may cross, old wounds may mend.

As sweet memories whisper, and with each tear that I cry,

     My question is simple: Is Forever Goodbye truly goodbye?
