This and That – Lunch with a Dear Friend.

Greetings!. One of my favorite delights is having a meal with a dear friend, regardless of the time of day.

Rhonda and I had lunch today at the Chimneys. Two and a half hours drifted by, overflowing with delightful conversation. The air was filled with laughter from those around us and the savory scents of delicious food wafting from the kitchen.

Overhead, the deep, rich, melancholic, warm music of Sidney Bechet’s clarinet lent an air of refinement to it all. Colton, my favorite waiter, tempted us with stuffed flounder and sautéed shrimp, not to mention a Bloody Mary and a Lemon Drop martini or two.

A good time was had by all. Life is good.
