This and That – I Dreamed a Dream!

I first heard this song over 25 years ago while sitting in a darkened theater with friends. Christmas was just around the corner.

Whenever I listen to it, I’m transported back in time to the beginning of one of the most tumultuous decades of my life, when I too…dreamed a dream. It was not meant to be.

And to this day, when the season to be jolly rolls around, I hear this song echoing in the misty-dark hallways of my memory. It brings a tear because I know that my dream has died and cannot be resurrected.
