Dispatches from Home – The Ghost of Christmas Past. A Friend Forever.

Greetings! Today’s snap of Janie Still Walters was taken in Dec. 1990. She was the Ghost of Christmas Past in Center Stage’s production of “The Christmas Carol.” It was a fantastic production due to the fantastic talent on stage.
But why is Janie the subject of one of my many “Dispatches from Home”? Ever heard one of her public speeches? Ever seen her perform on stage? She can make you laugh until your sides hurt.
At my dear mother’s funeral, she had those in attendance in tears, not tears of sadness, but happy tears. Due to Mom’s dementia, she didn’t always remember who I was, but she always knew who Janie was. (Oy Vey! LOL!)
Janie’s also one of the most photogenic people I know, and one of the finest Christians, too!
So, today, please be thankful for your family and friends who can make you laugh until it hurts. And those, too, who like Janie, with their simple smile, bring joy.
Later, Laughing Gaters!
