This and That – Life’s Long Race.

Greetings!
Ever run a long race? With sweat pouring down your face, you dash around the bend, and there before you, flapping in the wind, is the finish line banner.
Your legs ache. Your throat is parched. Your entire body feels as if it’s about to shut down…you can’t run another step. But then you hear the cheers of family and friends encouraging you to push through your pain and win the race. And you do!
In the same way, we members of the human race are to encourage one another. An encouraging word offered at the precise moment of need can make the difference between finishing the race or collapsing along the way.
My friends look around you. Be sensitive to others’ need for encouragement and offer your supportive words. The New Testament Book of I Thessalonians 5:11 gives some great pointers on how to be an effective encourager.
Later, Encouraging Gaters!
