This and That – The Quality of Mercy is not Strained.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – The Bard wrote: “The quality of mercy is not strained.”

Mercy is something that has to be freely given; no one can force someone else to be merciful.

Merciful people show kindness to others without regard to who they are. They meet needs without asking questions.

Merciful people care. And as they spread their mercy, they are a likeness of God, who has shown us more mercy than we’ll ever be called to give.
