This and That – A Swell Time Was Had By All.

Greetings!

Goodness grashus! What a raucous, fun time was had last night at the Kalbergs’ palatial estate in the Hood. 🙃 I think it is safe to say that our sides are still sore from laughing so much! 😂

Gather a gaggle of thespians together, and their stories—some true, some embellished, and some suspicious—are sure to entertain. The food was tasty (too many sweets), and the bubbly gushed like a Versailles fountain. I think the birthday boy—only 4 years old—was surprised, and it was a delight to see him thus.

I told everyone they were my guinea pigs. I’d never entertained in my little house and was anxious to see how the party played out. I could not have been more pleased. So, I think I’ll give more parties in the future. I leave you with this little poem by Shel Silverstein, Tug o’ War.

“I will not play at tug o’ war. I’d rather play at hug o’ war,

Where everyone hugs instead of tugs.

Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug.

Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins.

And everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.”

Thanks again, dear friends, for a wonderful night.

Big hug! ❤

A springtime decoration.
When Jonathan told me that his birthday starting with a “4” was coming up, I thought, “Well, everything’s so fluid these days, if he wants to be 4 again, so be it.” (Big smile.)
Mat, Jonathan, Rhonda, and Asheley. Hummmm, wonder what was so funny, y’all?

A trio of swells, Juliana, Melinda, and James, on the davenport.

Dear Melinda and Wayne, with taste treats.

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boy.

Oh! Come on! Man up! Jonathan Wetzel! No tears! (LOL!)

A big hug!

Ah! Yes! A happy cactus among the sweet roses.

James, don’t eat too much!

Mercy me! I look like a gapped tooth standing between these two! (LOL!)

Dear Gussie! You can’t take some people anywhere. (LOL!)
“Well, Self? What about the party?” said I.
“Self, I think a good time was had by all. Let’s do it again.”
